Loud explosions heard throughout the Cotswolds and North Wiltshire final evening had been a part of pre-planned train at Cotswold Airport.
Small managed explosions befell between 9pm and 10pm as a part of a multi-agency train.
A spokesman for Gloucestershire Police stated: “Please be reassured that it is a routine train and is designed to check and strengthen the nationwide response to a terrorist incident.
“It’s not in response to any latest intelligence or risk.”
A spokesman for the Cotswold Airport Group added: “This can be a deliberate train on the airport.
“The police and specialist items are totally conscious and will likely be round in drive.”
